Ilegal Añejo Mezcal is visually rather similar to cognac as opposed to regular agave spirits. Its copper-coloured hue stems from the Espadín agave distillate spending 13 months in caskets of French and American oak. That aging process also births several astonishing aromas, which are predominantly responsible for the mezcal being able to assert itself in its domain. The drink smells of maple, bitter orange and clove and tastes of dark chocolate as well as sweet agave. The mezcal is pleasantly round and intense and is perfectly suited for a delightful tasting!
