First attracted to the wine in 2008 by the name, but now delighted that we did. It is a rich full bodied red, full of flavour and a delightful after taste. Not a cheap wine, but we think it is worth it.
The undisputed King of Chenin, Ken Forrester’s FMC (F##kin! marvellous Chenin) is the bees knees. Fabulous intensity and length, I just wish it wasn’t so expensive…..
Initial taste, full bodied w complex fruity flavours but soon turned into undrinkable and hyper tannic. When pouring down sink noticed thick sediment at bottom of bottle mixing w wine. Dark bottle and deep red wine making prior detection of this impossible. Advise this wine needs standing for one month then carefully decanting.
As an ex submariner I remember naval rum ration with much pleasure
