Named after the Reverend Elijah Craig who is thought to be the first person to use charred barrels to age his whiskey- which is now part of the law for Bourbon and leads to the rich sweet style of whiskey that we know and love today. This fantastic Kentucky Straight Bourbon made by Heaven Hill Distillers, a company founded by the Shapira brothers at the end of prohibition when members of the Beam family approached them with a proposal to build a new whiskey distillery. To this day Heaven Hill is owned and operated by the Shapira family with the Beams (Parker & Craig Beam) in charge of whiskey making. Product tag: USA, Kentucky
