Fanny Fougerat is a new breed of Cognac maker. Although a fourth-generation distiller, her family had always sold its precious liquid to the big houses, who squirreled it away into their blends. When she released her first artisan bottling in late 2013, she became the first in her family to put their name on their very own Cognac. All her outstanding, ambitious and youthful releases are labelled with a barrel and bottle number, making them all effectively single cask Cognacs. Hugely fruity, with a zesty kick of citrus acidity developing. This is Cognac for a new era.
