This Barolo comes from the famous cru of the same name in Monteforte, an historic vineyard that is considered one of the very finest. The wine displays fabulous fruit concentration: complex, savoury, herbal, gamey, woody attributes are present, but in the background, behind deliciously appealing fresh red cherry, dried cherry, cranberry, sage, iron, elderberry, new oak and aniseed character. Massively rich and weighty in the mouth, with black cherry, liquorice, thyme and roasted red pepper flavours.
