Pinot Noir: The Best Low-Calorie Red Wine

Pinot Noir is a red wine that originated in France, made from dark-skinned grapes which gives it its dark colour. Pinot Noir has been found to be one of the healthiest wines because of its low calories. In fact, not only does this wine have fewer calories but it also contains more anti-oxidants than most other varieties of wine.

The reason Pinot Noir is considered healthy is that it contains resveratrol, a compound which has been shown to have anti-oxidant properties and other health benefits such as lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels. One glass (250ml) of pinot noir contains between 120 and 150 calories which makes it one of the least calorific wines available, alongside Chardonnay which has around 140 calories per glass.

So, if you want to enjoy a glass of red wine then Pinot Noir could be a good choice for you!
